Hope Rising, Hearts Uniting

A Week Full of Blessings in Haiti and the Dominican Republic

This past week in Haiti was a heartwarming reminder of God’s provision and the beauty of community working together.

Our students are back in the classroom after summer break, and it’s beautiful to hear their laughter and energy filling the campus once again. Teachers are hard at work, collaborating and pouring into their students. It’s always encouraging to see how much care they put into both their teaching and their relationships with the children.

We also saw some amusing moments—Pastor Lex got an urgent call from Dr. Mabou, our faithful dentist, demanding that he come to the clinic “NOW” for a cleaning. Ever the multitasker, Pastor Lex arrived with his laptop and phone, finishing up work from the dentist's chair as Dr. Mabou went to work on his teeth!

On the maintenance front, the new foundation and chain-link fence on our campus are nearing completion. It’s a small but significant step toward making our environment safer and more welcoming.

The building maintenance and grounds crews have been busy with tasks like cleaning the bars on the windows, vacuuming the library carpet, trimming trees, and preparing large pots of food over charcoal for the students and babies in the START NOW program.

There was even time to marvel at a coconut palm bursting with ripe coconuts—a testament to the abundance of God’s creation.

At the clinic, our team has been providing essential care. We’ve treated everything from head injuries requiring stitches to skin rashes and ear cleanings. We’re so grateful for our medical staff, who offer compassionate care to those in need.

And as always, nutritious meals were served with love to our students and the precious babies in the START NOW program. Their smiling faces are a true joy to behold!

Impact and Outreach in the Dominican Republic

In the Dominican Republic, it was an exciting week as we received a generous donation of supplies and food from Against Global Hunger. The team—Mèt Ben, Marlouse, Lucy, and Samuel—jumped right in, unloading the items and going through training to ensure that everything is distributed efficiently and with care.

It was also a week of joy for the little ones in the START NOW program. Babies were fed, and Letitia made sure each child received their daily vitamins. She worked alongside our MOHI team. They are always such a light, laughing and playing with the children as they grow stronger day by day.

Nurse Marlouse was on the road this week, visiting patients with hypertension in their home villages. Her commitment to providing consistent and loving care is making a huge impact on the health and well-being of these communities. We are so blessed to have her leading the charge in Community Health Promoter program.

Partnering for a Citywide Crusade in Luperón

As we continue serving these communities, we are also preparing for something special. We’re partnering with the local League of Pastors for a citywide crusade in Luperón from October 17-19. This event will be a powerful time of sharing the Gospel, and we are praying for lives to be transformed through this outreach.

Our budget for the crusade is $16,000, and we are grateful to have already raised $5,000. If the Lord moves your heart to support this event, please click here to donate. Your gift will help bring hope and healing to many people who need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your continued prayers and generosity. Your partnership in this ministry enables us to reach more people with the love of God in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and beyond.
