CLS Students Return

The highlight of our week at MOHI was seeing the students return for the start of the new academic year at the Christian Light School in Port-au-Prince. Thank you so much for your prayers. We are especially grateful to God for HIS provision for these children! There was a great turnout for the very first day of school.

The students found their new classrooms for the year.

And the teachers got right to work!

We look forward to the first days of school for the little ones in the Baby Feeding Program. When they turn 3 they will "graduate" into preschool and get their daily meals in school instead of in the Ravine. They will start school strong and healthy from the nutritional support they are receiving now.

We are continuing to provide relief to the earthquake victims in the Camp Perrin area. We are nearing the completion of the first water cistern we are building in the mountain villages.

Precule is from the village of Nazar. She told us how horrifying the earthquake was for her. She had only heard about the one in Port-au-Prince, but on August 14th she thought the world was coming to an end. Her daughter fell while the ground was shaking and then a block from the house fell on her abdomen. Days later she noticed her legs and feet were swollen. She was so full of hope when she heard about the mobile clinic we were doing and quickly brought her daughter to us. She was full of gratitude to MOHI and our supporters for the medical care, medicines, food, and clothing she received.

Everywhere you go, medical and dental care are of great value. Our primary care clinic in Grand-Goave provides consistent, high-quality healthcare for our students and neighbors.

Thank you so much for the care you are showing to the people of Haiti through your prayers and financial gifts. Each life is precious. Each person touched by your generosity has an eternal story to tell.

Pastor Lex sends his greetings to you. He was by the ocean this morning. Those are fish traps behind him. The team is preparing for the medical clinic tomorrow. Thank you for supporting us all in prayer.
