Father's Day 2020

Happy Father's Day to all the dads! I have seen so often the change in a man when he becomes a father. I've seen the change in my husband as he became a grandfather. Both the father and the child are bettered by the relationship. I love it!

Pastor Lex has very much taken on the role of a fatherly mentor to so many young people (and quite a few older ones, too) in Haiti. What a blessing it is to me when I see people seek him out to ask for counsel ... And when I see him making decisions for the sake of others, even when it makes his life a little more difficult or less comfortable. I respect him immensely every day, but today I want to honor him by letting you all know that, too. Happy Father's Day to you, Pastor Lex ... Lex ... Honey ... Daddy ... Papy ... You are greatly loved and admired by so many - but especially by me and our family.

In Haiti, the struggle continues on so many fronts. COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc on the population. Please continue to pray with us for our friends in the midst of these difficult times.

The medical and dental clinics have been operational, although with a reduced number of patients, as so many are afraid of medical facilities during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, here in Massachusetts, we've been very busy preparing to ship the bus to Haiti. We delayed the trip by a week in order to facilitate many moving parts. We've received many donations and have appointments to pick up some more items this week. We're so grateful to all of you who have contributed! Thank you!!!

Years ago, Lex and I would literally pack trucks to ship to Haiti all by ourselves. 20 years later, we need and appreciate the help of loved ones!!! Many thanks to AJay, Alain, and Huguener for the "kout men" they've given! (Below you can see Huguener taking apart a basketball hoop/board so it'll pack more tightly into the bus.)

We plan to begin a road trip on Friday. Please do pray for us whenever we come to your minds. Thank you for being a part of MOHI - whether by sharing your means or interceding on our behalf, you are making a difference in so many lives.
