End of Summer
Our administrative staff has been working long hours preparing for tomorrow, when the school doors open for the 2018-2019 school year. I love the sense of expectation that comes with this season. Staff and students alike look forward to the new year's "empty slate" that will become a new chapter in our lives. We are confident the best is yet to come!!!
Pastor Lex has been busy, too. Here he's making a ticket for someone to get some supplies for the start of school.
If you are interested in providing a scholarship for a child whose family simply would not be able to send the child to school, please contact us. A full scholarship costs $300 for a year. It can be paid at one time or $25/month over the course of 12 months. We will send you a picture and information about the student who benefits from your donation.
Get ready! Fall is coming and at MOHI Fall is Peanut Butter season! Plan now to get involved and start stocking up on peanut butter! Consider asking your family and friends to join in, too. Drop us a note here if you are able to provide a drop off location (business, Fire/Police department, church...) that we can share with others. A small amount of peanut butter goes a long way in providing the much needed protein for those most vulnerable to malnutrition. Together we can make a BIG difference and even save lives!
The beginning of school means the end of our first community soccer tournament. Congratulations to the team from Petit-Paradis (location of MOHI's missionary compound)!!! The final is taking place right now and is sure to be a blast for the entire community.
During the summer months, our medical and dental clinics have been open for the community, With the start of school, things are going to get really busy for them. We are so grateful for the ability to provide medical and dental care for our students.
Nurse Baby (pictured above) will be marrying her high school sweetheart, Davidson, this week at MOHI. We are so excited for them!!!
Thank you for your prayers and financial support each step of the way. The Lord has really good things in store for this school year. As always, please let me know if you have any prayer requests that we can assist you with.
