2018 Women's Conference

Hi, it's Alexis! I'm so happy to say that I am back from maternity leave! Becoming a mother has been such a blessing! My Alante is now a month old and how much he's grown in just a month is mind boggling to me! Thank you all so much for your overwhelming love, support, and prayers. My family and I truly appreciate it.

Sunday School

When MOHI church first started we didn't have Sunday School for children. Now, two hour long Sunday morning church services are not that exciting for younger kids. My brother AJay and I would often make excuses and go out into the church yard with our friends and play. Most of the time an adult would come and scold us for not sitting in church.

AJay and I were used to Sunday school when we would come back to the US and so we decided to start our own Sunday School in Haiti. Every Sunday we would gather our friends and ask an adult to teach us a Bible story and a memory verse. Eventually five kids turned into ten kids and so on, until today we have about 20 kids in each of our three classrooms. The ages ranging from two to thirteen, along with about ten volunteer staff. They also receive a snack every Sunday along with a craft. This past Sunday I received pictures of one of the classes and I realized the teacher was a girl I used to teach in Sunday School back when I lived in Haiti. I'm so happy that it has made such an impact in these kids lives.

Women's Conference

We welcomed Pastor Carlos and Sister Rita Pereiera back for our women's conference. The women kicked off the conference Thursday night with an awesome time of praise and worship, and a great word from Pastor Carlos. Pastor Lex, Holger, Sigrun, Angie Sutton, and Angela Parayson also ministered. Here are some pictures from the conference.
