If you've heard my husband preach more than once, chances are you've heard him tell a Billy Graham story. So many around the world have been celebrating his life this past week. A physical life completed and an eternal life continued in Jesus' presence.
Billy Graham was someone we could follow as he followed Christ. The humility and integrity he walked with was an example to all of us. He showed us that you don't have to be arrogant and self-righteous to show others you know what you're talking about. His life lined up with the words he preached.
I'm sure that his family and close friends are saddened by his passing. I can only imagine, though, how incredible he's feeling right now. He spent almost a century in his earth suit (body) until it was no longer of use. Certainly the Lord greeted him with a "Well done my good and faithful servant!" The world may miss him, but certainly we cannot mourn for him, for he is finally where he's always longed to be. He is home, in his Father's house.
Welcome Back!
We are thrilled to have Alicia and Angie back in Haiti! With them is a team from West Newbury Congregational and Pilgrim Church Merrimac. They arrived last night and attended church this morning. They plan to paint the gathering place, work on the soccer field on the land next door, work with the students, dance club, and lego club! It's going to a busy yet fun filled week!
