Gathering Without a Place

DEMOLITION COMPLETE

A lot of work was accomplished this week at MOHI's Thozin campus! The temporary chapel has been fully demolished and construction on the Gathering Place has begun.

It may not look like much now...

...but soon it will be beautiful!

This morning the church gathered outdoors for worship. The band stood on the porch of the school. The congregation sat below on benches between the school and the clinic. Service began a little early in order to be done before the sun got too high in the sky - at which point we would have lost all our shade.

We're grateful it worked, but we know the church needs a Gathering Place. Pastor Edon has been asking the church to give and many have. However, they do not have the incomes to build this on their own. That's why we've been asking for your help. We're just over half way to the necessary $20,000 to build the Gathering Place.

Please consider joining with so many others to make this Christmas extra special for our community in Grand-Goave, Haiti. Every penny counts! If you'd like to donate, please click here.

A GOOD REPORT

Recently a a young mother brought her beautiful, 10 day old baby girl to the clinic. She only weighed 4.4 lbs and was not eating. Dr. Emmanuel did a thorough examination and recommended that she be hospitalized, to receive the help she needed. This week she came back to the clinic and there was a significant difference! She now weighs 6.8 lbs, and is eating very well!

STUDENT LIFE

Just like where you live, our students are eager for Christmas vacation to begin. They've been taking exams all week and will be finishing up in the next few days. Thank you to all those who are sponsoring these classes. What a joy to see so many of their needs being met: spirit, soul, and body.

Wishing you a very merry Christmas!!!
