We Are Thankful (Special announcement)

This is the first time Lex and I have been in the states for Thanksgiving in a long time. We were surrounded by friends and family for the day and I so enjoyed that. I am truly thankful for my children, friends, the mission, God. It has been a roller coaster of a year (as most years are) but yet I am so thankful for everything that has happened in it.

As we enter into the Christmas season, please consider our friends in Haiti. So far, we've received $825 toward constructing the Gathering Place. Thank you to all of you who responded right away. Our goal is $20,000 by year end. Please join us in constructing this multipurpose building (cafeteria, gym, and chapel). The current chapel roof at the Thozin campus has sprung leaks throughout, the wood is warping, and our sound system is at risk of getting wet. Please take a moment during this giving season, to help the church in Thozin. Thank you.

Holger and Sigrun Kraft remain very been busy with culinary classes. The students LOVE learning to cook and bake different things. They have been focusing on bread this week. Here is some of their yummy progress below.

Everything back at the Mission has been going smoothly. School is in session, renovations continue, the clinic has been seeing patients daily. The clinic staff was able to do a mobile clinic out in Petit Goave this week, as well. We were blessed to have Caroleann Knetchel join us.

We're also grateful for Caroleann's husband, Dana. We met up with Dana and Caroleann the evening before they headed to Tree of Hope. Dana brought some of his tool and some car parts we brought to him. He worked on a couple of vehicles this week. Lex is so excited to have the problems in the pick up truck solved. Thank you Dana!!!

Alexis and Alain (our daughter and son-in-law) are expecting their first child! As you can imagine, Lex and I are quite thrilled to become grandparents! We are so happy and grateful for the blessing of a child in their marriage (and our family)! Would you pray for our family, as we navigate so many new and exciting situations?
