Road Tripping
We have been on the road all week, doing last minute shopping and are still packing at 10:30 pm for our return to Haiti. I’m very late with this blog post and I will have to be somewhat brief.
We had meetings with two of our incredible partner organizations this week: The Hands and Feet Project in Nashville and Bless Back Worldwide in Charlotte. There are wonderful things happening with both organizations and we are excited to continue working together for the glory of God and the benefit of the children and others in the country of Haiti.
We were invited to join our Haitian friends at the Assemble de Dieu Frère Uni in West Palm Beach today. It was a touching service. After 6 weeks in the States, it was such a joy to worship in Haitian Creole again. I so appreciate the way that children are encouraged to participate in the service and not shooed away. As you can see in these pictures, the drummer held little Lianna and played at the same time, and the pianist may have been all of 3 years old.

We received the wonderful news this week that we will be one of the sponsors at SoulFest August 6-8, 2015. SoulFest is an annual Christian music festival located at Gunstock mountain resort in Gilford, NH. Dozens of Christian artists will be performing this year, including Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Third Day, For King and Country, Big Daddy Weave, Tenth Avenue North, Sanctus Real and many more. Josh Putnam, founder of Acacia Images, will be heading to Haiti in a little while to shoot some video as he prepares a couple of video presentations for the festival. If you have been to Haiti with us and would like to volunteer some time in our tent at SoulFest, please contact us asap and we will put you on the schedule. Thank you!
We had a great lunch meeting with Josh, topped off by a quick stop at the ice cream bar!

Things continue to go well in Haiti. Our staff has been doing an amazing job of managing the many different areas – school, medical clinics, churches, feedings, distributions, caring for orphans, and so much more. We are eager to return to continue on projects. The land purchase in Thozin should be happening this summer. We have been waiting on the seller to actually come to Haiti, which should be happening in July. Thank you for joining your expectant faith with ours as we see this major step accomplished.
Here are a few pictures from this week in Haiti:
